- A database schema with a graduate degree.
- I have a love-hate relationship with the things. In most software projects I tend to be the ontology guy – its the central part of any software system, important to get right, I usually end up making some kind of ontology management/visualization tool so people can understand what they are doing.
- However, when I talk to real ontologists – the kind of people who make complicated and rigorous ontologies that involve predicate logic – I revert to my philosopy of Scruffy Knowledge Representation.
- Of course LLMs have upended the whole world of ontology, as they have so much else. It's a current hot topic of research how to integrate the two worlds.
